[...] Synopsis: Vivian’s life is finally on track. She has a job she loves as an ER doctor and has just met – literally – the man of her dreams. But when her eccentric grandfather is murdered and designates her as his next of kin, she discovers that she is the last of a race of beings known as dreamshifters. It is her task to guard the doorways between waking and dreaming, which have already begun to unravel, spilling dangerous creatures from dream into the waking world. When she sets out to close the open doors and protect her town and the people she loves, Vivian confronts dragons, intrigue, and the dark secrets of her own family history. In the end, she comes face to face with a sorceress seeking eternal life and ultimate power. Vivian must find a way to stop her, or reality will be forever altered.”–Ace Books http://www.kerryschafer.com/books/ [...]

Just finished the book last night and it was so so so good i had a hard time putting it down, you really captured love and crazy so well, when i was reading the part where you described what Isobel felt and heard in her head i felt dizzy and almost heard the voices myself! thankfully i didn't poor Isobel, Vivian was so real i could almost see her and zee at the end kissing, and feel their sadness when they decided to do what they do. I am so looking forward to reading the next book. You are a wonderful writer and you should be very proud of your book. I bought mine at Hastings it was on a shelf for debuting writers but yours spoke to me so i bought it and i am so happy i did, the best book i have read in a long time, yes honestly i have not read a book in 6 months, but to defend myself im a mother of 6 kids ranging from 17-3years so to read your book i had to sneak away which i did alot because as i said it was just wonderful! Thank you for writing it, and i hope we don't have to wait to long for the next.

First of all, congratulations on finishing your RN requirements!!! This calls for chocolate!

Take care of you and your life, first and foremost. We prioritize for a reason -- to keep some semblance of sanity.

And when you're out of words, I've found that grunting serves as an excellent form of communication. It worked for the cavemen, and apparently some things never go out of style. Not sure how much that can help you on a page, but actual folks will get the gist. ;)

*cue Celine Dion* Near, far, wherever you are... we'll be here. Probably rereading Between. Because it was THAT GOOD. Can't wait for Wakeworld!

Coffee up and rock on!

It's okay sweetie. Things weren't really all that dusty here. And besides, everyone knows dusting is over-rated. But now that you've got a wee bit more time on your hands, can you do something about the coffee? Because I'm afraid you've let the pot run dry...

Seriously, you're doing fine and we all understand. {hug}
